Open "No permission to get Contact and SMS info" error

    I used JOIN on my LG phone for almost a year and has been happy with it. I just got new Samsung phone. I installed JOIN but keep receiving "No permission to get Contact and SMS info" error when I run Diagnostics feature in JOIN setting on the new phone. Could anyone help?

    Can you please go into the app's settings SMS and Phone Calls and enabling the service there?

    It was enabled. I had to go to App Permissions and make sure Microphone was also enabled (it was off). After I rebooted device everything started to work. Thank you.

    my android join app diagnostic test also gets stuck/hangs on "Testing Get Contact and SMS info..."

    I do have SMS and Call Service enabled.

    Thanks. Do you happen to have a lot of SMS or contacts on that device?

    Yes I suppose. App size 32.70 MB

    User data 1.35 GB

    Cache 30.24 MB

    Total 1.42 GB

    main reason for checking the diagnostic is the chrome extension usually doesn't receive or send SMS

    Wow, yeah, sorry about that. Unfortunately Join is not yet optimized for such big SMS databases. Will have to come up with a way to make it faster, sorry!
