Open Notifications just jibberish

Notifications are just a bunch of jibberish (see photo). I think it's just the Clock app (One Plus 3T, clock app version 4.1.0) that has these notifications scrambled, I'm not sure.

I don't know how to check but SMS worked fine while getting these gibberish notifications.. I will re-enter the passwords now.
Haven't had this problem until the recent update to the app or the chrome extension. I did have to relog-in to the ext this week.
SMS has been working fine but I only noticed the clock seemed to have these gibberish notifications when I set a timer. Last night the Google app notifications were also gibberish. Also the diagnostic tests on the app and the extension all pass.

UPDATE: looks like resetting the encryption password made everything work okay when i briefly tested this morning. I'll update futher this evening. Joaomgcd you're the best! Love your app!
