   I am trying to create a notification that is expanded automatically. I have set the priority to max (2) but the notification still will not be created already expanded. I can of course expand it manually to see the rest of the notification. Is there another setting I need to enable?

   Try to set a sound and vibration pattern and see if that works Also, what Android version are you using?

   When I try that all that happens is heads up notification is enabled. I am on Nougat.

   Yeah, that's the only way to control it sorry. Other stuff that makes it expand is not having other notifications there at the same time
