AutoInput Root record never completes

I tried to record a swipe on the screen and I get the notification that recording is completed and to continue to use my device, however, after several hours AutoInput never indicates it has completed. I have tried this many times but it never completes the rocess.

Attempts to run the task raises an error that the action was not recorded.

I have searched for tutorials on this but can't seem to find anything. I have a rooted Galaxy S4 running stock ROM.
