    I am using Redmi 4A ON MIUI 9 and Android 7.1 on Nova Launcher
    Initially I thought it is something to do with MIUI .
    But when I am playing Amazon Prime music,I see that that app is putting Album cover as lockscreen image !!
    So not sure what I am missing .

    That's because it's a music app :) It can do that with a special media player API.

    Sorry I was giving music app as an example - But irrespective of the music player,what can be other reasons for which this feature not working in mu phone environment (Redmi 4A 7.1 MIUI)
