Open SMS portion of android app shows doubled msgs?

Hi,

Let's say I have my phone set up with Join (for SMS mirroring to other devices). On Firefox/Web, I can go to Join's appspot.com page and see all my texts correctly - no problem.

But on my phone itself, when I run the android app and go to the SMS portion of the app, I see most of my texts doubled. Like this:



NOTE that the 2 most recent texts are doubled - but the 3 previous ones are not.

Any ideas?

Yes, the issue still happens when I read SMS messages on my Android tablet. My Specs are re-posted below:

Android phone (Has a SIM / phone number) : LG G4, all stock firmware/ROM (unrooted), running Android 6.0
Android tablet (No SIM, wi-fi only): Galaxy Tab PRO 8.4, rooted, running CM13 (Android 6.0.1)
My Google Drive has 100GB+ of free space
Both devices using latest JOIN from Play Store (v1.0.16)

When I go to the SMS section of the app on my tablet, most of the SMS message threads are doubled, similar to what the screenshot shows.
