Open SMS syncing messages from select contacts only

Hey, so I'm new to Join and it is pretty cool. I am primarily using it for SMS syncing to my computer, and it works great with the exception that it doesn't want to receive new texts from my wife. I receive texts on Windows and Chrome from anyone else without difficulty, but it's just messages from her that don't come through. I thought that it would have to do with the number of texts overall since we have like a billion messages, but it's set to sync only the last 50 messages and to not automatically do photos, so data shouldn't be an issue. This issue happens both through Chrome and the Windows 10 client, so I think it's an issue not with the computer. I can send texts just fine. I'm using a Pixel 2, unrooted.
