AutoWear Stuck on shake in setup wizard

I'm trying to set up AutoWear on my Moto 360 2, but I can't figure out how to get the 'set up shake.' to work.

1. what does the watch mean by "Exit to finish." How does it want me to exit? I tried hitting the button on my watch and swiping right, both of which don't seem to trigger anything.
2. Is there a way to continue with the setup wizard without setting up the shake?

If this can't work, then I'll have to dump this. And it looked so promising!

 

I had the same issue today trying to set up shake detection on my Moto 360 2. What solved it was to restart the watch.
Before the restart I did not see the accelerometer reading and Max value on the screen. After the restart everything worked as expected.
