tasker and vera confirmation

I didn't know what to put in the subject.
So this is what I would like to do with tasker, auto voice , automation and Vera hub. I have a Samsung galaxy s3. I have the voice activating with auto voice working. So I say, ok Google... Turn off the fan light and sometimes it does. So what I would like to have it do is check to see if that variable was done. If so, then speak something like lights were turned off. If not then try again. Then say after 3 tries it cannot finish the task then respond with "I could not complete that task". So if anyone could help with my coding for variables that would be great. Thank you in advance.
