    Hi all.

I want to trigger a task when my phone is connected via cable to my auto. (I want to wake up a couple of apps before android auto launches).

I tried to set an AutoTools connectivity event up just to see the ID of the device but it never triggers. I also tried to connect it to my pc and the same thing happened.

Do I need to do something before been able to use this?

I use an Oneplus 3T with android 9 (Oxygen OS 9.0.5)

    Thanks.

Hi there. Unfortunately on Android 9 AutoTools is no longer able to detect this because it lacks a background service. Tasker itself has a USB condition though, so please use that :)

Oh I see thanks! . It doesn't send and if of the connected device though. Don't? Is there a way to list the current connected USB devices?

Sorry my English is getting worse and worse!

I mean, after the USB condition is triggered I want to see if the connected device is DeviceX or DeviceY.

Is there a way to get a list of the current connected USB devices so I can see if the one I want is connected?

    Thanks :)

You can use the AutoTools Connectivity action to get the USB devices :)

    Hi! thanks for your help.

Sadly looks like neither my phone nor my car support USB Detection :(

Anyway thanks a lot for your help as always :)
