I understand that there is Google Drive functionality built into Join but when I deny Join access to my GDrive, it says that I can't sign in at all. I'm really interested in migrating to Join for remote SMS and notifications but do not want to establish any connections to my GDrive storage.

Is there any way to use Join by only giving access to basic info, email, and Contacts like other remote SMS apps? It seems to already have the first two but it refuses to sign in.

    Thanks!

Join needs to use your Google Drive to store your SMS messages, so for your use case it really needs that access. Sorry, wish I could help!

Ah, that's a shame--I thought the app functioned similar to Pushbullet but it sounds much more involved. Thank you for replying!

In this case I actually think it's an advantage :) The SMS messages will be stored on Google's servers instead of on some third-party server. But I understand your concern.
