[REQ]AutoMediaUtilities

I mentioned this on G+, I'll do it here again, just for the sake of completeness.

If you could do something like a media control app, similiar to media utilities (which fucks up big time on L) you would have a number of definitely grateful people at your disposal.

Media Utilities was useful to draw media info from a lot of media players (which use some sort of android API). Including: Track Name, artist info, album info, progress. Control was also available.

 

Here might be a good starting point: PowerAmp API

I've been told that PowerAmp is built around the Android Media API.

 

I'll second this request. I use MediaUtilities in my digital dash project and would definitely need a replacement when I upgrade the OS.

 

Ya...Oh My is that Media Utilities app bad on Lollipop. I can't get it to grab Cover Art on non-typical music apps for the life on me. Seems super bugged on Lollipop. Would be real cool seeing a Media Utilities AutoApp around here. I'd throw down for that
