Is there any difference between this method and the Touchless Chat plugin SendMessage action?

 

Works nicely, only not (for me) when the screen is off/locked. It populates the message field but the send button just doesn't get clicked. An AutoInput action error "Action timed out" is all I get.

I have other AutoInput tasks that work with the screen off/locked so any idea why this one won't?

 

There is a small problem here. It works fine if the phone number has WhatsApp account but when the phone number doesn't have an account, WhatsApp shows a box with a button "OK". Currently, the task stops at that point. Can you add the code to set a variable to 1 OR 0 (or something like that) that can be used to check if the number is a valid WhatsApp account?

There is one problem I've encountered since I began using this task. I've been calling this task based on Join's push notification event. What happens is, sometimes, when the join push is received, the task doesn't wake the screen while other times, it just works. I'm not sure but Is it related to collision handling? I've had the default setting set it "Abort New Task" set and Tasker was having this issue very frequently, after changing it to "Abort Existing Task", it has improved but still it occurs once in a while and cause this issue (I've disabled the lock screen and the device OS is Android 6.x). Any clue what could be the culprit?

What is meant by Using a simple URL? Can you please send a screenshot of the actual Whatsapp message task.
